The Challenge

A new canopy

In a project jointly delivered by South West Trains and the Department for Transport, the Input Group were appointed to carry out improvements at Fleet, including a new canopy and waiting room on Platform 1.

In addition to the Platform embellishments, the project also required the installation of new Public Address and Customer Information systems.

The project was jointly commissioned by South West Trains and the Department for Transport.

Our Approach

Step by Step

The Input Group’s work at Fleet has transformed the customer experience, providing better journeys for the increasing number of passengers that use the station.

A 70m canopy inclusive of an enclosed waiting room was installed on Platform 1 along with new platform LED lighting. The floor was also resurfaced, hence improving user experience and safety.
