The tower building at Ulverston train station had been left empty and derelict for a number of years.
As part of the Railway Heritage Fund the Input Group was tasked with the restoration and conversion of the tower building at Ulverston train station into a cycle hub and a café.
In addition to the reinstatement of the historic Ulverston Station tower, the project required a cycle hub and a reception room to be installed on the ground floor and a cafe on the first floor.

Along with churches and government departments, the railway industry is one of the most significant owners of historic premises and structures.
The Input Group’s work at Ulverston facilitated rejuvenating the disused historic premises back into beneficial use, as a means of assisting conservation by regeneration

The Outcome
Considerately restored
A new roof was added, along with mezzanine floor and windows, complimented with the formation of a terraced area.
The Input Group installed public toilets, built a café area and a cycle workshop along with the installation of storage for approximately 100 bikes.
